Mediocre Poetry Can Still Sound Sweet
Nov 12 – write a love letter/poem from an ancestor
My grandfather fancied himself a songwriter, so it is perhaps not too far-fetched that he would have written a love letter or two in his day.
Dearest Gertrude,
You must know my love is true,
Just as your eyes are the bluest blue.
My sweetest desire is to see you smile,
To make that happen, I’d walk a mile.
If you’d be mine, you’d make my day,
And that is all I have to say.
Fondly,
Lee
